No. Just put your NEA# in the comment box when sending the claim.

If using ClaimConnect, the NEA rules and image number management are completely integrated. Simply upload your claims, the system will determine if the claim needs an attachment (based on rules provided by each insurance company), and pass the specific claim info to the NEA system. All you need to do is log into your NEA account and upload the requested image. NEA passes the image number back to ClaimConnect and the claim is released to the insurance company. There is no extra charge from ClaimConnect for this service.

Old thread. Was wondering if any progress has been made on this bridge?

Re: Is there a bridge for NEA fastattach program?
The NEA FastAttach process is the most cumbersome of procedures. Can we have a Bridge Please?
Re: Is there a bridge for NEA fastattach program?
put the request in and let me know what the number is
Re: Is there a bridge for NEA fastattach program?
I have made a request since July 2009, request #646.
NEA has become more important because of our ability to transmit X12 files directly to Insurance companies.
The process now is very cumbersome because we have to create the patient in NEA before we can get a NEA# to add to the Claim. or send the claim out on PAPER.
All the information on Feature Request #646 is still valid.
Thank You

Claimconnect has not been reliable to send nea requests when they are necessary, especially with delta claims. But adding the pt manually in fast attach, i agree, is very cumbersome.
Seems like a bridge should be easy to just pass the pt/insurance info to fast attach to create the pt. Over and above would be to pass the images as well.
Does anybody NOT need this feature?

I've never had to enter a patient manually into NEA.
I "SEND" my claim from OD to ClaimConnect. A few minutes later the Fast Attach icon in the Notification area of the taskbar (far right) begins flashing (it's in my startup menu, so we have already logged in when we turned on the computer). Open it and the patient's name will be showing and it will say an attachment is necessary.

Re: Is there a bridge for NEA fastattach program?
yes, same here as Hersheydmd, it appears as an alert in NEA fast attach after a short while...I don't have to enter manual data, but what doesn't work is attaching info in the claim window in OD and then having it send. That would be nice.
Re: Is there a bridge for NEA fastattach program?
Yeah, it works that way for me too, and when the nea request is sent it is great. The problem is half the time there is no request sent by claim connect then the insurance, usually delta, sends a letter saying they didnt get an xray or narrative. Claimconnect says it is due to delta not providing their requirements. This is why i need a bridge.

Must be a regional thing. Don't have a problem with Delta of NY or NJ.bcpayne wrote:Yeah, it works that way for me too, and when the nea request is sent it is great. Re: Is there a bridge for NEA fastattach program?
For us this has to be one of the biggest disappointments for Open Dental. I am in no way changing software over this, but NEA has become such a necessity for electronic claims that I find it hard to believe there hasn't been any progress on this bridge. The OD home page shows 60+ imaging bridges and 12+ (more like 15+) Clearing house bridges yet NEA isn't one of them!jordansparks wrote:No, there has been no change in the progress of this bridge.
I would hope that Jordan or Jason get a chance to look at this and share their thoughts on this delay.
Sorry for the rant.

NEA bridge would be a major plus!!! +1 vote for bridge

Re: Is there a bridge for NEA fastattach program?
I've been using ClaimX for several years, very smooth integration with NEA, eliminates double data entry completely, very flexible, competent support/customer service.

Anyone here want to reply to the question 'does FastAttach speed up the preauthorization process?'
Do you get approvals back in less that 3-4 weeks?

Re: Is there a bridge for NEA fastattach program?
It seems the few "pre-determinations" that we do are being turned around in 2-3 weeks, but actual claims are 7-10 days.Tom Zaccaria wrote:Anyone here want to reply to the question 'does FastAttach speed up the preauthorization process?'

I guess my question are "Do you have to do these as required by insurance plans?" and "How many do you send per month?" We only do these as a courtesy to patients who are interested in knowing what their insurance will pay prior to starting treatment.
