Insurance question

Post by fishdrzig » Sun Nov 30, 2008 2:38 am

Is it more prudent for a category %, standard fee schedule plan to check the box "claims show UCR fee, not billed fee"? Can this be set globally or does each patient have to have the box checked individually? Thanks

UCR is your standard fee schedule. Most companies want what you actually charged to show on the claim, though some may want the UCR fee (perhaps to gather fee information from practices to help set their payment schedules).

So the answer is no, do not check that box.
