Here is the web page that talks about how to setup the Quick buttons or "Procedure Buttons"
http://www.open-dent.com/manual/procedurebuttons.html
If you are talking about the Quick Buttons that are specified for Post Composite, Ant. Composite, Amalgam that are grey buttons with surfaces you are not able to change those they are hardcoded into the software.

Thanks for prompt reply!!
YEs I was refering to the Quick Buttons that are specified for Post Composite, Ant. Composite, Amalgam. I have tried to use them but did not really see anything happen on the Chart and the progress notes has just added the procedure code but without the details.I remeber somehting when I was using the trial version that we need to pay to make it work or something, is thsi correct? If yes, I would not mind to pay for it as mu customer requires this very much in deed. I compiled myself the OD.
Cheers, Tim

Re: How to setup QUick BUtton
You do not need to pay for them. They should be fully functional. You say that the procedure is put in the Progress Notes but then there are no details meaning Tooth Numbers? Surfaces?
Did you add all of your D codes by going to List | Procedure Codes | Tools in the lower left. You should run this. It will take the T codes out and put the D codes in. That is the only reason why they would not work if you are still using the T codes from the trial version.

Re: How to setup Quick BUtton
Yes, there are missing the tooth numbers and surfaces when using the quick buttons...we do not buy any full version from you but we compile OD ourselve and we do not do anything to "D" code (have to confess, I have no idea about the D code). I see from the manual that we need to purchase the full version inder to convert the "T" code to "D" code. We have some customization done on the OD to meet the local requirement here in SIngapore and Malaysia. So, not sure if we purchase the full version would help in this case.
What do you suggest us to proceed?
Thanks for your reply in advance.

Re: How to setup QUick BUtton
The D codes are used in the USA. I am sure that you are not going to be using those. As of right now the Quick Buttons have the associate D codes already hard coded into the program. It seems to me since you are compiling it and that it looks like you are thinking of customizing Open Dental that you could change them yourself. Here is a link to our website that gives you all of our table names for version 6.4 and up.
http://www.open-dent.com/OpenDentalDocumentation64.xml
If you need table names for and version less then that here is our Programmer Resource page
http://www.open-dent.com/manual/programmers.html
Otherwise the buttons won't work unless you have the appropriate D codes that are associated with them.
