Automation:New Patient Diagnosis Codes/Info Sheet

Post by Rickliftig » Tue Mar 02, 2010 8:21 am

Now that we have automation:

I was just thinking of setting up a category of "new patient diagnosis codes"

Starting out simple with items like: Excessive decay; dry mouth; tmj sx; periodontal involvement, etc.

Then, when a new patient comes in, these concerns will be entered (if needed) and set complete which will generate info letters using the automation framework.

Has anyone tried this? Do any of you have some further ideas on it?

So here's how I set it up. Each button is linked to an N code - ie) N4500 is perio; N4501 is decay. These buttons will be clicked at the new patient visit, the note will be entered in the progress notes and by using the automation framework, an info sheet will be printed for the patient.

This is what I do when the day washes out. Then of course, the phone is ringing off the hook one hour after all the openings have disappeared. Gotta luv dentistry.

I am going to add one modification to my procedure list - I am going to also add a new category for limited exam info sheets. IOW, a patient comes in with ANUG, this procedure button is set complete (ie) N4010 - gum infection) and an info sheet prints out. Also, an entry and 'canned' narrative is made into the procedure notes.

I have placed a feature request to print ANY document using automation - if you have any votes, consider this one. It's a lot easier to format a pdf or word file than a sheets file - especially when the file is essentially read only.

see the thread "Convert word to .jpg"

I wonder if there's anyway to merge these two threads?

Simple. I'll just lock this one, forcing everyone to use the other thread.
