X-Charge

Post by khdilger » Fri Jun 25, 2010 4:01 pm

I am getting ready to go with x-charge. I have been dealing with OB Johannessen from the Open-dentx.com website. Great to deal with and fast. So those that use x-charge I assume you like it. It seems very cost effective with low startup costs. Anyways, just looking for peoples experiences.

We chose x-charge for our startup. We've been using it for about a week now and love it. It has integrated seamlessly into opendent and couldn't be easier to use. Also, like you said OB is great and the costs are low. I also love how patients do not have to sign anything and there is no paper. I just print their statement that shows what they paid. Sometimes they do ask why they don't have to sign though. I recommend x-charge.

You can have them sign the CC area on the statement if you want.

I just wish they accepted debit card transactions and didn't have the three year contract

Can anyone tell me what the rates are they charge and the setup costs, monthly fees, etc.?

Do they require a three year contract to get their best rates or does everyone have to sign it? The three year contract makes me want to say no thanks. Does anyone know if they are going to start accepting debit cards anytime soon?

xcharge has been a great product. I wish OD integrated closer with it to allow for monthly debiting, Debit card processing and Check verification. The product has been rock solid

Is the lack of accepting debit cards an X-charge deficiency or something that needs to be enhanced eventually by Open Dental?

There is no contract requirement. I specifically asked and no where in the agreement I signed did it have a contract term.

I'm not sure. I don't have time to research it. But regardless, the place to track it is the feature request system.
