Taking over practice - zero out accounts

Post by khdilger » Tue Jul 06, 2010 6:40 pm

I just took over a small practice and re-open next week. I have got open dental setup but I want to zero out all the accounts that have any balances on them. Correct me if I am not going about this the right way... I went to Billing and ran a report and there are 144 unsent bills. I am looking for advice on the best way to zero these accounts out.

We usually do this as part of a conversion.

They must not have done that as part of my conversion. When I run billing there are 144 accounts with balances from the previous dentist. Should I have them rerun the conversion?

I don't know the specifics of your situation, sorry. Did you just have the final conversion? If you've already made any changes to the program since the conversion was done, you'll lose them all if they redo the conversion.
