How to remove Procedure Codes

Post by Nate » Fri Oct 12, 2007 1:16 pm

We have many oral surgery procedure codes that we do not use. Is there a way to delete, remove, or hide them? Im not sure how they were entered but possibly when the staff entered new fee schedules for a PPO insurance company. I also found many have made there way to our fee standard fee schedule. If possible I would like to have them removed.

It becomes confusing when we update our fees with Delta and we have extra codes. Also when we update PPO fee schedule staff is confused with which codes they actually need to update.

Any ideas?

You can't remove them because if they had ever been used it would throw OD into convulsions.

just move them to unused or seldom used

Right, just change the category. My favorite category names for this sort of thing are "obsolete" or "never used". Some day, we'll let users delete codes, but it's not a high priority right now.
