Windows 8 Touch

Post by galligan » Sun Jun 17, 2012 6:59 am

Does anyone have any insight regarding using Windows 8 touch capability within OD? My hope is that we can navigate OD using a stylus on the monitor and eliminate keyboard/mouse use during active pt. treatment.

Also, it sounds like MS is releasing a tablet of their own using their 8 framework. I assume OD will be usable on their tablet since it was usable on their Windows Mobile format...can anyone confirm this?

Thanks!

Just saw the Windows 8 tablet announcement - Surface. Hope to have OD work seamlessly with it. It looks very professional.

I saw that too...I really like the foldable keyboard but the kickstand is so-so as it seems you'll still want some sort of foldable case to use on your lap.

Yes it looks interesting. I have been looking at tablets for awhile.
Best one I have come across for OD is something like this but never pulled the trigger. And yes the resolution is 1366x768 and has usb connections for intraoral cameras, keybords, etc....

There are alot of these on ebay but only a couple with the minimum resolution OD requires
