I posted in the sharing forum and am waiting for my post to be approved, but in the mean time I wonder if we are not supposed to post requests there, where would be the appropriate place to post a request?

If you posted a request on that forum it will most likely not get posted. The description for the Sharing forum reads:

Only for sharing Sheets, icons, queries, etc. Please do not post requests.

As Nathan mentioned, this is a better place to post requests.

Well I posted some icons to share and hopefully it gets approved soon. In the mean time does anyone have icon requests that I can fulfill?

Posts should be going straight in. There must be a bad setting that is causing posts to wait for approval. I'll try to iron it out.

Is there going to be any way to attach files to the sharing forum?

The way it is now, it looks like it depends on the sharer to host the files. However I see a future of many broken links as the shares age.
Maybe there are storage or liability concerns if they are hosted on the OD servers, which, if the case, is understandable. But I have been disappointed many times to find exactly what I need in a forum, then find the link to the files are broken.

I have been waiting to share some stuff that I would have liked to have when I started using OD. Mostly stuff that is tailored to the OMS practice.
Now that sheets are a little easier to make it may be not as necessary, but I have made oral surgery consents, detailed medical histories, signable post-op instructions, work/school release forms, implant flow sheets, hospital orders, appointment sheets, etc.
I also would like to share my procedure code list that contains all medical codes that I have needed in my 1st 4 months on OD. That is unless procedure codes are not something that is considered "sharable".

Dang! That's pretty much a fatal flaw in having that forum. I think we turned off file uploads when we got some porn spam being posted to our forum. But spam has been nicely under control for at least a year, so I just turned on file uploads again. I doubt it will work flawlessly at first, but we will keep working with it to try to get it nice and smooth.
