Dentrix Again

Post by chinas-syndrome » Fri Dec 14, 2007 12:53 pm

We are shopping for a new Dental System.
Dentrix did us very wrong. We are looking Eaglesoft,Opendental and Tracker. I am leaning toward opendental since you can read our Dentrix files. If we went with you can you also convert our aging and recall status?
We want to avoid having to lump everything the patient owes into 1 lump sum. thanks

The aging should come out correct because we are actually converting each individual procedure and payment. The aging is then calculated on the fly based on these numbers. For some other database types, they might all be lumped together, but for the Dentrix conversions, they usually come out fine.

Recall: It's complicated. I think we also calculate it on the fly. But the calculation makes a lot of assumptions about procedures attached to appointments, etc. There's a chance that recall might not come through flawless, but then you would just run recall from the old system, which isn't too inconvenient.
