is it possible to send an email to my entire database using open dental, or should I be using a separate e- marketing company?
if so, is there anyway of knowing whether or not it is going into the spam folder of my patients?
email to entire database
Re: email to entire database
Sure you could.
But you'd be better off with something like Constant Contact, because it will allow you to track your campaigns over time, allow people to opt-out, etc.
No, there's no way to know whether your emails end up in their spam folder. The best way to prevent your emails from being caught be a spam filter is to use a mail server that is locked down (not an open relay) with properly configured DNS (A records for the domain match reverse DNS (PTR) records) and properly formatted SPF record for the mail server.
