I was wondering how people handle recording patient preferences. I mean things like "patient prefers no epinephrine" or 'complains when the chair's tipped back too far'.
I'd like to be able to see it on the chart view, if possible, but haven't been able to figure out how. The problem, for me, when I have patient preferences recorded in a custom field and shown on the appointment screen, is that very often the size of the appointment space on the appointment screen is too small to allow much information to show.

Re: Recording patient preferences
You could add it to "service notes" in the medical history.

Great idea, thanks. I assume that this does mess things up when we are all eventually on EHR? 'cause I really don't understand what 'service notes' really means.

Service notes will not affect EHR at all. That is exactly what the Service Notes field was designed to record.
