Hi all,
My health center recently switched our EDR to Open Dental. We opted to go with Tigerview for the imaging software but have experienced nothing but problems in the two months since we have gone live. We are very tempted to revert back to the old platform, Vixwin, but do not want the limitations that come with it.
We have one provider traveling between two sites and would like to be able to view the same images at both sites (vixwin will not let us do this.)
Our current imaging hardware includes:
Gendex Orthralix 8500DDE (panoramic)
Gendex GXS-700 (Digital Sensor)
Gendex Expert DC (Wall mount)
We are currently considering Apteryx and Patterson imaging. I would appreciate any thoughts/suggestions on what has worked for your practice.
Thank you,
Ragbe

Re: Dental Imaging Software
We use Patterson along with Open Dental. It works fairly well. The only issue we've come across is if we change a patient's name (spelling) or SSN after we've taken an x-ray. That will make it link to a new "patient" in Patterson. Other than that it's been pretty seamless.

Re: Dental Imaging Software
Are there any significant differences between Apteryx XV lite and the full version of Apteryx?

Dexis.
It will work with your hardware and its integration with OD is great.
It also integrates well with Anatomage in case you use that to read your CBCT scans for implant planning/placement.
Had it since 2009.
Wouldn't want to change for anything else.
