Is anyone using e confirmation or e reminders in Open Dental? Wondering what the feedback is on it.

We just started using them. Overall a positive experience and most patients like them. Support was very helpful in setting this up with our office.
The one area that we have issue with and will soon be a feature request is to be able to send the reminders and confirmations at a certain time (at the beginning of the day for example). Currently, if the parameters are set to send a confirmation 1 day in advance, it will send them 24 hours before the appointment. Which means if tomorrow's evening patient has to cancel, we don't get much time today to fill the spot. It would be much better to have all of today to correct this instead of all of tomorrow.

Just an update on this question.
Support has now informed us that we can send the eConfirmations out at a certain time frame instead of throughout the day as we were originally told. Now all confirmations can be sent from 7:30-10:30 am and we have a chance to adjust the schedule accordingly for any changes. Fridays we come in and change the confirmation parameter to 3 days and all confirmations for Monday are sent in the early am on Friday. On Monday, we come in and change the parameter back to 1 day and it remains there for the rest of the week. This is the work around until we can eliminate weekends on the schedule
