Hi,
After some discussion with staff and friends we wanted to see what people thought of increasing the type of gender selections available in OD. I realize this could be a huge can of worms considering the 60+ and growing genders that are listed in many places.
It seems two additional fields would maybe suffice. Right now you can choose Male, Female, Unknown. Our suggestion is adding "Other" and "Undisclosed".
At first glance it would seem "Unknown" would suffice but it can be argued that this is inaccurate or demeaning/negative for those who feel they do know and have picked one of the many others now available. "Other" is non-negative and "Undisclosed" allows an opt-out.
Any thoughts?
Regards,
Scott
