Mass scheduling a provider

Post by cthulu » Fri Dec 11, 2020 6:50 am

How would I be able to schedule a provider for an operatory across multiple days without having the click through each one individually? It seems there is no obvious way to do so when I go into setup->schedule. Any help here would be appreciated.

Hi cthulu, you can do this using the copy and paste tools in the lower left corner of the Schedule window. Here are the steps for creating a schedule for one or more providers. These steps assume that your providers have a Monday to Friday schedule and that you have the "Work Week" filter selected.

1. Select the providers that you want to schedule in the list and click the "Refresh" button. This will allow you to copy and paste the schedules for the selected providers without affecting the existing schedules of other providers.
2. Schedule hours for the providers on the Monday of the first empty week that you want to schedule.
3A. If the providers' schedules will be different throughout the week, schedule Tuesday through Friday manually as well.
3B. If instead the providers will have the same hours each work day:
> Select the Monday that you scheduled and click the "Copy Day" button.
> Click on the Tuesday following the Monday that you scheduled, enter "4" in the field next to the "Repeat" button, then click the "Repeat" button.
> This will paste the providers' Monday schedule into the next four days, so you should have a M-F schedule established for one week at this point.
4. Click the Monday that you scheduled, then click the copy week button.
5. Pasting multiple weeks:
> Select the Monday of the following week.
> Enter the number of weeks that you want to paste the copied schedule to in the field next to the "Repeat" button.
> Finally, click the "Repeat" button. This will paste the copied schedule for the number of weeks that you have entered.

We also have a webinar video that goes over the Schedule window here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jDnnrFn ... e=youtu.be.
The Schedule window part of the video starts at about 8 minutes into the video.
