Anyone know if insurance companies are requiring 2024 claim forms now? I wonder if they will reject prior forms. I just switched OD from using our 2012 to 2024 forms and noticed few changes (ie gender U option). I also noticed that the office ID number changed from social security number to our patient number. Anyone know why that number would have changed when simply updating to the new form. Is that information that the insurance companies really use? I’m sure there is a way to change it back to SS# but I am curious why OD changed it to the office chart number rather than keep it the SS# with the 2024 ADA claim form. Potentially it could have just been an oversight.
