Where in the database are all the credit card information held?

You would typically use Xcharge or some other credit card processor. They might only store the cc# on their servers rather than on your computers. Or if they did store the cc# locally, it would be encrypted and would comply with the complex regulations surrounding storage of cc#'s. However, you can choose to store the cc# in the Open Dental database so that you can use it repeatedly. If you do so, there is a risk involved. It's not encrypted. It's stored in the patientnote table. You must have increased security and there will be liability issues if the data is stolen or misused.
