Has anybody successfully integrated this machine (Vatech 3D CBCT combination digital Pano and 3D CBCT) into their existing work-flow.
I am on version 6.8.27.
Running a windows server 2003 environment with XP professional workstations.
I use XDR for digital imaging software. (btw neither XDR or Vatech support have been very helpful)
The Machine itself has proprietary capture software, Easydent V4 viewer, and 3D 2009.
As it currently stands the machine and software are simply a stand alone workstation where images are captured and viewed. I was hoping that I could integrate this into my practice management software. More than likely I will only be able to integrate the 2D images, but that is fine by me.
Any ideas would be appreciated.

give the standalone machine an ethernet wire or buy a USB wireless adapter. Then just "Remote Desktop" in. I kind of got around the XDR licensing (it used to be for 5 workstations. They have since increased it to 10) by using RDP. Probably the easiest way since you stated that neither XDR nor Vatech support was very helpful.
BTW, I'm jealous of your CBCT machine.

Thanks for the post. Remote desktop would only help in accessing the capture machine. What I really wanted was to somehow view at least the 2D images in OpenDental. I thought the best way would be to do that via XDR but that is turning out to be harder than advertised, probably b/c XDR uses the borland database engine, which tends to be overly fickle.
