Template to automate

Post by Roy Bloom » Tue May 17, 2011 8:08 am

How hard would it be to write a program for OD that makes a template(much like ordering items online with required fields) with the following

Last name
First name
DOB
Parents name if minor
Phone number
address
Allergies
Current meds
Sig Health Hx
Site (clinic)name and Email so I can email Tx Plan fro OD
requested service
Pano (with auto resize to 1MB or less) and a code to place if sedation only case. So no pano needed.(like sedation case)

If all the boxes are not all filled in prior to emailing to me it comes up with the info box missing for them to fill in or it will not send.

Have it as a link on my website (code protected for Docs only or front desk) and have it emailed to me as an attachment so I can read it from MS office Outlook and then click a send to button and have it automatically send to and fill in the new patient account page and send the pano to the image file in the chart.

Our webforms comes very close. But to get the validation you are talking about, you might need to move to Adobe Acrobat. It's $400. We cover it in our manual.

I do not have time. How much would it cost a progrmmer to set up a e commerce form and then send values to the correct location. plcae it in a secure page only a docs office i ework with. Also, how do you encript it for hippa compliance?

I forgot that we did add enforced fields. So our webforms will already do everything you asked for including security and delivery. Well, except for maybe the sig. Were you planning on leaving a Topaz pad at each office or something?

If it's a browser interface, it becomes very hard to support that. So our Kiosk has signature support, but not webforms. Also, I just noticed the pano in your original wish list. We couldn't handle that. Maybe you could have the pano sent separately. There are all sorts of photo sharing apps online.

All the data from each tablet would be on a dedicated server including the pano and the consent signature from the forms made in sheets.....this is CSS right the sheets that is? The autonotes are still C#? (for example the progress notes) The email I send out is converted to PDF. I am trying to figure out where the conversion is. I do not want the email I get to be saved as PDF. Should I just have the patient account display fields changed to reflect the information I want? Is the script something that could be written by someone to open an imaging program like photoimpact or irfanview and then auto place it into the images folder in the patient chart module? Just trying to be as efficient as possible. It really does take me a few minutes to copy the attachments from MS Outlook into the account and the Pano into the patient image. It would be nice to automate that. IN other words have OD open and then open the attachment from an ecommerce like form and have everything completed. Is this something that a programer could do without devoting days on? Especially in light of tweaks I would want. I literally spend over an hour a day doing the copy paste thing everyday in the summer. Thank God for Easy Anesthesia. I would spend hours every weekend scaning in sedation records etc. I am going to try Mypatient scheduler and put a secure link in my website so the office can open it and make the appointment without even texting me. Patients like to make the appointment before they leave and I can not stop the surgery and say yes or no to a certain date or time. The template will also be stored on the same secure page on my website. This is not such a big deal during the off season but at the end of the summer ...well I get that homeless man look. Planning for next year as it is already too late to make any major changes except maybe my patient schedular. Sorry to ramble I just practice differently than most and have some different needs.
