EmailAttachments Folder in OpenDentImages

Post by drawab » Thu May 06, 2021 2:27 am

Hi

I wanted to know the importance of the files being stored in the EmailAttachments folder within OpenDentImages - it has an In & Out folder as well - all three are taking up space in my OpenDentImages folder and wanted to know if I could do spring cleaning of this folder from time to time basis? Any Critical aspect which we should be aware off and try to avoid

Thanks

You could test it. Just send an email that includes an image. The image will pop up in one of those folders. Delete the image and see if Open Dental crashes when you look at the email or if it just shows a spot where the missing image should be. I'm hoping the latter, of course. And if that's true, then it's probably harmless to move them all to some sort of archive folder. There might be a gotcha that I can't think of, but you would always have that archive folder if you need to restore the images.
