aborted connection database error

Post by ITGuy » Thu Jul 21, 2022 12:06 pm

Hi there, I work for an IT provider for primarily dentistry offices, and we have a couple offices with recurring errors visible in the event viewer on our servers "Aborted connection 366 to db: 'opendental' user: 'root' host: '********' (Got an error reading communication packets)" . We are having issues at both offices running opendental on our servers, where they are experiencing 30 seconds - a minute or so of latency where opendental goes non-responsive. The issue is NOT consistently reproduceable, every time we remote in to try to witness or reproduce the issue it wont happen. As far as we can tell, per the error log and our clients account of the issue, it is happening on all workstations

We've already tried disabling windows firewalls, setting static ip's, clearing temp files

We run a hyperV server with a VM domain controller on which both data and server-side software.

Has anybody seen or heard of this? Any advice or input would be appreciated.
