Treatment Plan Ortho Issue
Treatment Plan Ortho Issue
If you have regular insurance and ortho coverage and set the ortho as a priority number less than any other procedures priority, once the MAX Ortho coverage is used the regular coverage is never caclulated but if you give the ortho no priority or a priority higher than any other priority then the insurance calculations are correct. This is in Version 6.9.30.

Re: Treatment Plan Ortho Issue
Maybe this deserves to be turned into a unit test.
http://www.opendental.com/manual/unittesting.html
To do that, I need a full scenario. I will get the scenario started, and then we will both use the scenario to duplicate the problem separately.
1. Add new patient.
2. Add regular insurance plan to that patient.
3. The only benefits that should be on the plan are:
a. Ortho max: $1000
b. Ortho percent: 50%
c. Fixed Prosth: 50%
4. Add two procedures:
a. D8090, $5000, Priority 1
b. D2750, $900, Priority 2
And you are saying that if set up just as above, then the crown will not be covered at all? If the scenario above does not duplicate the problem, then please alter it enought to show me the problem.

Re: Treatment Plan Ortho Issue
I added the new patient and the insurance and ortho. I used the 8090 for the ortho and set it to priority 1. I added the second treatment and set it to priority 2. Ortho is covered but the other treatment is not. I change the priority on the ortho to 3 and the ortho and the other treatment is covered. I set no priority and both are also covered. To make sure I wasn't intruducing anything into the issue I had another person setup the same senario as you laid out and she got the same results. I even tried changing the general category settings to include and exclude ortho and it made no difference. I even setup multiple priorities and as I move the ortho priority to higher numbers the other insurance is covered until it hits the ortho and then it stops coverage of anything higher than the ortho even if there is more coverage.
