Aquiio - Open Dental Integration

Post by kemirand » Thu Feb 04, 2021 8:22 am

Hey Open Dental Users,

I am introducing a software technology that my team has developed called Aquiio. Aquiio is a Virtual Waiting Room for your patients that allows them to confirm their arrival at the office and wait outside until they are ready to be seen. The patient receives a text link with instructions to confirm and they are provided with an estimated wait-time that gives them transparency and freedom while they wait to be seen. While waiting, they also have the capability of chatting with the office through the software with your front-office team to address any questions or comments that they have.

Your office team will have a dashboard that displays the patients that have confirmed arrival and shows who is currently in the Virtual Waiting Room and how long they have been waiting. The dashboard also displays key performance indicators that gives your team visibility into the average wait time for the day, the total amount of time saved/lost, and tracks patient experience via our post-appointment survey questions. All indicators of office efficiency.

Here is a quick video that highlights the experience.

Please reach out to me [ jim@aquiio.com ] to schedule a demo if you are interested in learning about more of the features and benefits of using Aquiio!

I'm using Aquiio at my office! We have had it implemented for the past 3 months and the team and patients have adopted it quite seamlessly. The team has told me that the software is easy to work with and our patients receive it well.

It has definitely helped the team reduce time on the phone and improved our efficiency. We're also getting a clearer picture of confirmed/cancelled appointments prior to the appointment - something that has obviously been a challenge since COVID.

Thank you, Doctor! :D

Quick update - https://aquiio.com/ V1 was officially launched. We came out at $189/month for the full software and integration.

The main features out of the gate include;
  • 10 days prior to appointment two-way text confirmation
  • 30 minutes prior to appointment text to check-in
  • COVID screening and health check via check-in link
  • Patient wait timer while in Virtual Waiting Room
  • Patient-to-office staff chat capability
  • Team daily KPI dashboard displaying; Patients scheduled, patients missed, average wait time, total time saved/lost, office satisfaction (1-5 rating)
In short, it's robust! And the features coming out in the next update are very exciting.

Thank you for introducing Aquiio! It sounds like a fantastic solution for improving the patient experience and optimizing office efficiency. The idea of a Virtual Waiting Room that allows patients to confirm their arrival, receive estimated wait times, and engage with the office through chat is innovative.

I watched the video, and it's impressive to see how Aquiio seamlessly integrates into the workflow, providing your office team with a comprehensive dashboard to manage patient arrivals effectively. The key performance indicators, including average wait time and post-appointment survey feedback, seem like valuable tools for enhancing overall patient care.

I appreciate you sharing this technology with the Open Dental community. It's evident that Aquiio is designed to streamline the waiting process and contribute to a more transparent and patient-centric environment.

As an additional resource related to the virtual waiting room concept, I'd like to recommend checking out this insightful article: Virtual Hospital Waiting Room. It offers a broader perspective on the benefits and trends in implementing virtual waiting rooms in healthcare settings.

I'll definitely reach out to you for a demo and learn more about Aquiio's features and benefits. Thank you for your contribution to enhancing patient care experiences!
