I just updated to 5.0.21 and now all of my procedure code descriptions have been changed to the default. I have always personalized my description.
My question is, everytime I update will it change it back again??

No. It's a onetime deal. You'll also notice that you now can't edit them. Not to fear, though. You can override the description for display purposes by putting the description in the Layman's Term box in the edit procedure code window.

The layman's term shows on the statement. Pretty much the only place where the layman's term doesn't show yet is in the Appointment Edit window.

i just updated to 5.1.18 and I know i'm being picky about this, but is it feasible to program into OD the option of how the procedure code descriptions appear in the chart module?
As a practitioner, i have a hard time trying to read my 'layman's descriptions' when looking at the chart. I'm used to the acronyms of the profession and can maneuver much more quickly seeing my Abbreviated Description than Layman's Description (eg PFM vs 'tooth-colored crown').
thanks!

No, that's not being picky. That's very reasonable. We are struggling with that as well. I think we'll start making some changes in that area. Using the abbreviated description is an idea I hadn't thought of.
