We are in ver 7.4 now. Is it possible to print out a deposit slip that our bank will accept instead of their standard?
thanks,

Deposit Slip
Re: Deposit Slip
Yes. You must use the pre-printed Quickbooks forms. Ask your bank or order them the same place you get checks.
We've been doing it a while now. The limitations are that you can only have 18 checks per deposit slip. Thus, you'll sometimes have 2 or more deposits for everyday. Secondly, cash is itemized. Rather than summing up all the cash deposits in the spot for cash on the form, it lists them individually.
As a result, you'll have at least one deposit for checks (up to 18 checks) and one for cash. It would be wonderful if we could find another form to use that will accept more entries and will automatically total the cash.
My girls love it. I hate it. Last week, I had 20+ deposits for 4 days of work - not including credit cards - instead of my customary one deposit per day. Plus the deposit forms are expensive.

Re: Deposit Slip
Why make it so hard......
Print the standard OD deposit slip for the itemized list of checks/cash.
Take your pre-printed bank deposit, write the date on it, write "Batch" with one total and include the two slips with your deposit.
I've been doing that for as long as I can remember....way before OD.

Re: Deposit Slip
Because most banks don't accept that anymore. You are one of the lucky few. What bank do you use?

Re: Deposit Slip
You have lazy banks.
Here in the SF bay area you can deposit checks and cash without a deposit slip through the ATM (WFB,BoA, Chase, Mechanics, etc).
I use three (actually 2 banks and a credit union) Mission National Bank, Wells Fargo and USE Credit Union.
Absolutely no problem
In fact they prefer it to handwriting a slip ( aparrently 4s and 9s and 1s and 7s get mixed up).
