My quick paste notes aren't working
OK, I am not sure what I did. I used to be able to use quick paste notes. Now, I type the ? and the abbreviation, but the quick paste note doesn't come up. Not sure what went wrong, or what I am missing.

There can only be one category for each category type. In other words, I have a category with a description of "Tasks & CommLogs" set to type Commlog. Then I create another category named something else and set it to type CommLog as well, whichever category is first in the list will be the one my quick paste notes "trigger" from. Ergo all my ?[abbreviations] located in the new Category (lower in the list) will never trigger / populate. Hope that helps.
The best thing about a boolean is even if you are wrong, you are only off by a bit.

FOr example, in the 'clinical' section I had quick note that typed my name. when i type ?and the abbreviation, the quick note doesn't work. I had set up and have been using it for about 6 months now. In the email section, I have the set up quick notes so whoever is doing the email can type their signature line/info. This doesn't work either.

As far as I can tell, that feature has not been changed for a long time. A few changes were made in 12.1, but nobody's using that yet. So my best guess is that you accidentally changed your settings. The quick paste setup window is not intuitive. We will rewrite it when we have time. But for now you just have to slog through it. Remember that you can have only one default for each category. That's where people usually go wrong.

After going back over your steps, I got it to work. I guess I was n't understanding the part of having mulitple notes attached to a type/category...
