consent on kiosk

Post by sam-I-am » Fri Jan 25, 2013 8:29 pm

I'd like to use a tablet (actually a motion computing 1700LE) as a kiosk, to have patients read and sign consent forms, but I haven't been able to figure out how to send consent forms to a kiosk.

I'd rather have the tablet set up as a kiosk, to restrict patient's access to the full program. Any ideas?

You probably want to read the section on the Kiosk Manager on this page: http://www.opendental.com/manual/patien ... minal.html

"forms", yes, but "consents" no. Maybe I'm looking at it wrong.

You could just create your custom consent form but make sure that is a sheet that is a Patient Form type. Kiosk can handle two sheet types, Patient Form and Medical History. If you would like to use an example sheet for your consent form, I would recommend looking at the HIPPA patient form on the Internal side of the Sheet Defs window. http://opendental.com/manual/sheets.html

That's what I assumed the work-around would be. Thanks
