Off-topic here, but perhaps someone here has done this:
I'm getting a CBCT machine, expected file size per scan is 500MB+. I am running a virtual server. Virtual server size is 90GB. If I store the CBCT files in the virtual server, that would make for a very very long daily backup of the entire virtual server image. So probably the best method is a separate directory in the physical server so backups are done separately. What do you do with huge files like these? Thanks

Re: Huge CBCT file storage
You could run a separate virtual file server and only back it up once a week. One solution I've seen but don't really recommend is a robotic tape library backup. If you aren't concerned with offsite backup then I would go with a virtual server cloned to another machine in your office once a week on the weekend. In short order your backup will be large enough that you will have trouble trying to do nightly.
