Not sure if this is an OD question or a network issue.
Just had a new desktop added to our network. But now when we start OpenDental it will ask for the location of the images folder on the server. Not all but a few of them.
Once you direct the program to the right location all work fine. But if you shut down to the home screen and then try to reaccess the program, it will ask you again.
Anyway to stop this from happening.
We have a mixture of windows XP and Windows 7 pro.
OD 13.1
Thanks,

Re: OpenDental wob't remember location of images folders
The data path is a global setting. I recommend it being a Universal/Uniform Naming Convention (UNC) path that way there will never be a computer on the network that doesn't know where that path resides. Ex: \\SERVER\OpenDentImages
Some people run into permission issues, are you having to type in credentials or simply having to redirect it to a different path. If just redirecting, that typically means another computer in the office is changing it to a wrong path (might be right for them) and you are changing it back. Thus a UNC path will work for everyone. Hope that helps.

The best thing about a boolean is even if you are wrong, you are only off by a bit.
