Insurance estimator:
1) A bug(?): Ins. pays 100% w/ no deductible for perio maintenance. I've made a special rule using the code (D4910): Deductible/PerioMaint/0, which works. Setting the % to 100 using the same method doesn't work though-- it's still 75% like the rest of perio. I guess this is because the % for perio overrides it. Is there a way to do this?
2)Another common thing I'd like to see in the insurance screen is Child covered to age/Student covered to age.
3)The insurance selection process seems like it could be streamlined - as it is, to change a plan for a family of four, I have to drop the plan four times, then add the new one four times. It seems that dropping the plan from the subscriber should drop it from all patients, and adding a plan could perhaps offer to add it to several patients simultaneously?
Ideally, in the current "Edit Insurance Plan" screen, where you have Patient Information above Insurance Infromation, you would replace the Patient Info with Family Info, which has a list of all members and allows you to select the subscriber and any members of the plan-- as primary, secondary, etc. The relationships could be selected as well, though these are fixed and can usually be deduced from family status, so it would be nice if the program did so.
Well, that's my idea. Hope it's more useful than annoying.

1. You can enter your "special rule", but there is no built-in support for it. I just added the following explanation to our manual:
If you use the ADA Code override box, it will be for informational purposes only. It will not actually override the insurance estimate for the specified code as you might expect. That is planned for later.
3. Yes, we are aware of that shortcoming.
