Pedo office digital charting

Hi fellow pediatric dentists or offices who see high volume of pediatric patients,

Due to COVID pandemic, we started to completely chart digitally in Open Dental. Unfortunately, we are a lot slower than before as too many clicks in Autonote. We do the tooth charting digitally while looking at X-ray. Then continue with intraoral tooth charting with existing teeth and filling, that's fine. When we are doing the occlusion and malocclusions in the AutoNote, there are so many clicks that increase room for error and space.
Will you be able to share how you chart more efficiently for occlusion/malocclusion in autonote? Or even speedier way to get tooth charting faster, I would greatly appreciated.

I've always been a big fan of paper for things like this. Make a form, fill it in pencil, front desk scans it in later. Shred original.
