Open Dental for ubuntu

Post by Nemesis » Wed Apr 30, 2008 10:52 am

I admire the Open Dental initiative, and i thank you for your work.
I know there is a way to run Open Dental in linux operating systems, but only through window installation first, and with some limitations. Through your manual I saw that there was an ubuntu repository for open dental, but it seems unreachable, and anyway it's maybe out of date since it's referred to old ubuntu version.
I'm asking if it's possible to have a compiled package for ubuntu hardy heron 8.04, or an improved and easier guidelines to compile it succesfully under this distribution.
Thank you.

You don't have to compile it. Just copy the files over from a Windows installation. I understand you don't want to do this, but that's the only option we provide right now.
