Middle Tier Invalid Username or Password

Post by jbenoit »

Hello, we just setup a test environment to test Middle Tier. We have the database and server setup in our datacenter and added IIS following the Middle Tier installation instructions. On the workstation back at our office, when we launch Opendental we get "Invalid username or password". We know the username and password are correct, since we can sign into Opendental on the server in the datacenter. We are also confident the workstation is getting to the server for two reasons. First, when we enter the URI in the web browser of the workstation we hit the server. Second, if we stop the mysql service, we get the expected error of not being able to connect to the database.

We have reviewed the installation instructions for a step we have missed but we are not having any luck. Any assistance is appreciated!

The quickest way to get help with this kind of issue is to call in to support.

A common problem for a new Middle Tier instance is that the OpenDentalServerConfig.xml is pointing at the wrong database.
The best thing about a boolean is even if you are wrong, you are only off by a bit.
