recall lists
recall lists
hey, i am really excited about the multiple recall statuses! how do you come up with a list for example of everyone due for "endo follow up", for example or the other status rather than just the normal recall list window?

Re: recall lists
There's no filter in the recall list. And actually, the recall list only returns prophy and perio results. So there's an obvious flaw, in that there's no way to bring up an endo follow up in the recall list. It was done that way to keep BW and pano recalls from cluttering the list. Looks like we might have to add another special type to help distinguish between important and unimportant recall types. An endo follow up could be assigned a special type of 'ShowsInList'. I'm reluctant to simply add filters to the list, because then patients will fall through the cracks.

Re: recall lists
yes, we don't want anyone to fall through the cracks, but I would like to be able to use the "endo follow up" to be able to be a "Care call" (calling to check on pts who had big procedures) type list and make sure it gets done. Of course it would be best to have one place to look and not seperate as you indicated so we don't loose track of people., Maybe a secondary list or a different background for secondary items (non perio or prophy)? The background idea would keep it integrated.

Re: recall lists
sounds good, I will look forward to trying it
Re: recall lists
I'm cautiously optimistic.........
After the recall notice is sent, will the status have a date associated with it (Mailed 9-3-08) or will it just list the status (Mailed)?
If the former..GREAT!!
If the later...Boo Hoo!!

Re: recall lists
The automation that follows a recall being sent is slightly better now. It:
1. Creates a dated commlog of type recall.
2. Changes the status of the recall.
So no major changes there, but it is now doing step 2 automatically instead of manually. The feature that we just added was multiple recall types. We didn't add a feature that links statuses with dates or that tracks multiple contact attempts in a more formal manner. Those features are coming, but multiple recall types was more important. And also, what you are asking for is a fairly elegant behavior. We already have dated recall entries, so it seems like the information is there and perhaps just needs to be presented better. It's a complex iterative process that we don't want to get wrong and have to back track.

Re: recall lists
hey great work on getting the other recall types in the list. Can we get the recall list to order by column by clicking on column headers?
