Treatment Plan Questions
Treatment Plan Questions
Either I screwed this up or some gremlin is having his way........
My printed T/Ps make no sense.
The color key has TREATMENT PLANNED (Orange), COMPLETED (Blue), REFERRED (Purple), EXISTING (Green), however none of these graphic colors are present. Don't get me wrong, there is a rainbow of colors, just none matching the color key.
How can I re-sync this?
What does the"light" in "Complete (light)", "Referred Out (light)", etc. mean?
How can I view the graphic T/P without having to print it to paper?
Thanks.
Cheers!!!

Re: Treatment Plan Questions
Huh? The colors don't match your statuses? Does it look ok on the screen or is it just the printout?
There are supposed to be two colors for every status: a light color and a dark color. For example sky blue and true blue. The darker color is used for amalgams, metal crowns, etc. The light color is used for composites, porcelain, etc. I would rather have been able to use some hatch patterns instead of the (light) option, but hatch patterns don't work so well in 3D.

Re: Treatment Plan Questions
Perhaps it's due to my use of custom colors for the procedures.
If I gave high noble gold crown a custom gold color, will it be the same color for all statuses?
Why can't I save my custom colors on the palate?
Cheers!!

Re: Treatment Plan Questions
Yes, it would be the same for all statuses. Overriding colors on a per-code basis should be used very sparingly. It's good for making implants silver instead of tacky colors, but not for much else. I don't know about the palate. Maybe that's something that we would have to explicitly program in by remembering and resetting your palate each time. Maybe it's not an automatic MS function.

Oh well.........
I thought I was pretty slick. I made custom colors for all the procedures I expected to see in graphics. It looked pretty cool and esthetically pleasing on the chart, if I do say so myself. Root canals looked like gutta percha, gold crowns looked gold, amalgams looked like tarnished fillings, porcelain procedures looked like Vita c4 (sort of), composites looked like a soft pink..you get the idea. Took about 4.5 hours. Problem was my artwork screwed up how the treat plans printed. Reset everything to the default (another hour or so). Now the treatment plans print up great.......albeit rather ugmo.

Yes, but once you delete it, don't you have a balancing problem for that acct? For example, if you deleted procedures for a 3 unit bridge, wouldn't it show a credit balance of $2100 since you deleted the bridge out?

Well your no help
In regards to the fees, we get enough stress at $665 a crown, but I would like to raise them. My fee schedule would probable make you sick to your stomach, yet I have to still stay in business with the same lab/supply/equipment costs as the high $ practices. OK sorry for the rant, back to the grind.

Re: Treatment Plan Questions
I'll look into adding a warning there to use sparingly.
