First of all, you are talking about the IO camera, not the xray sensor, right? What specific version of Open Dental are you using?Jordan, we recently moved from Eaglesoft to OD. We use schick IO Cameras and most of the time they work great with OD. More recently, when we go to capture either on the sensor or using the mouse, Open Dental will kick us out of the program and we have to log back in and try to capture again. Sometimes it works the second time, more recently, it doesn't. We are not getting an error code. Any ideas on what might be causing this? Thanks

Yes, talking about the IO Camera. We are using version 20.5. It's probably time to update to 21.1, should that increase stability of the camera?
Re: Schick camera problem
Schick has a special Twain driver for their 3 IO camera models: USBCAM - USBCAM2 - and USBCAM4 available at the bottom of this DRIVER Download page, Try to update the regular and the Twain driver and see if this will help.

Re: Schick camera problem
I'm not sure if updating to 21.1 would help, but it seems like a good start. I wasn't aware that any Twain driver was needed for any IO camera. We're basically using a webcam library which has nothing to do with Twain. What you're describing sounds like a memory leak, which makes me suspect a bug in our code that we use to capture a still image from the video stream. I'll look into that. If I don't see anything, and if your problem is still present on a newer version, then the next step is for us to purchase that model of camera to try to duplicate the problem. So I would need to know the exact model number of the camera.

Re: Schick camera problem
Updating to 21.1 seems to have solved our problem.
