Accounting Error Caused by deletion

Post by Rickliftig » Thu Sep 23, 2010 4:54 am

Hi Jordan - Situation came up today where somewhere over the past few months, I re-jiggered a chart. Long story short: an implant crown was listed as 'existing other' (I'm sure it was my change)as opposed to complete (from 2001). This resulted in a -$1000 balance. Checking back on the saved statements (a wonderful feature!),this error was not evident until the last month. IOW, on the date of conversion (7/11/08) there was a zero balance.

Here's the issue - the change was not reflected in either audit log. Have you heard of this before? Am I missing something obvious?

best,

Rick

Maybe if it was set complete as part of an initial conversion, the DateEntryC, which is used for security, wasn't set right. So maybe that made it more vulnerable. No I have not heard of that specific issue before.

That would make sense - it was a converted procedure.
