Greetings
Whoa, what happened with 6.8? Compared to 6.7 & pretty much all previous versions, this is really unresponsive on my Pentium 4 Hyperthreading at Home. I'm clicking on patients in Appointments one by one, and it's not selecting them. I have to really wait. Unfortunately I deployed already at work without fully testing at home, or I would not have done so.
Thanks
6.8.35 unresponsive
Re: 6.8.35 unresponsive
6.8 is working great on many of my P4's....something must be wrong with your database or network or something...better call support
Re: 6.8.35 unresponsive
I believe it is working okay on the P4 at work, which is slightly faster at 2.66GHz than my machine at home 2.4GHz HyperThreading.
Generally, my database has always performed significantly slower at home on queries. Not sure if it is how mysql is set up, or the system cache/memory or what. Nevertheless the general user interface of OpenDental has always been very responsive until now. I wonder if it was all the changes made to eliminate memory leaks, by disposing of data more quickly etc that is making my OpenDental unresponsive.?

Re: 6.8.35 unresponsive
Is it just appointments, or is it other areas of program? When you say click, do you mean single click or double click? Need more specific description of slowness.

Re: 6.8.35 unresponsive
Come to think of it, it may have been the invalid data path due to restoring the data from the office. (I see this was fixed in 6.8.39 and 6.9.22)
6.9.21 is snappy, and I made a change to how the data path is specified to prevent future errors.

Yeah, it took a while to spot that intermittent bug. Glad it's faster now.
