Bug in recall emails
Bug in recall emails
We are trying to get our recall list under control. When we try to send mass e-mails, the window crashes when it has an error in entry of e-mail address. We need to adjust the logic to gracefully continue on error and just give a list of the people with errors at the end. Right now the list goes blank after a notification of an invalid e-mail on multiple pts and then you have to close the recall list and start over.

Re: Bug in recall emails
What kind of "error" in the email address? I would just like to know so I can try to duplicate it.

Re: Bug in recall emails
1st error, actually gave a name of a pt that had an "invalid string"...found out it was missing the @ symbol in the e-mail address.
2nd time it said 2 patients had an error but I don't remember the description didn't give names, so I don't know how to figure out how to fix it...
...will try it again tomorrow to test it.

Re: Bug in recall emails
2nd error was caused again missing part of the email.... was entered as "username" with no "@gmail.com"...not sure what the error message was.
Re: Bug in recall emails
another problem, although not really a bug, but we could enhance the recall list somewhat by implementing these:
1) If you send emails/postcards to pts without a due date, there needs to be a separate form letter you can make without a due date for those catch all recalls b/c it ends up sending that they are due on 01/01/0001. Also it would be re written to say that they have never had their teeth cleaned instead of they are due for recall.
2) On these same pts It would be good to have the recall system check to see if pt does in fact have a prophy/perio appt scheduled just like the regular recall patients. I think it is only doing this for pt's who have never had prophy/pero before and don't have a due date yet. Example: we just sent an email to a guy and it said he is due for his recall (1st message) on 01/01/0001, but in fact he is scheduled for SRP tomorrow. I do have triggers set up for the SRP codes, but it didn't seem to eliminate him from the recall list.
