I am preparing to purchase OD for my office.
Is Microsoft office or any of it's component programs needed for daily operations?
Does my office staff need onsite training? We are switching from Easy Dental front office only
Any problems with an Easy Dental data conversion?
Software recommendations and OD training
Re: Software recommendations and OD training
Only thing MS office is needed for is if you want the ability of doing letter merges. We never do that in our office though....so the short answer is no, you don't need it. Download Open Office and install it for free on all your computers. It will handle everything besides mail merge from OD that you need and read all MS office formats. The smart thing to do if you do need to mail merge documents is to buy MS Word for one comptuer and for the rest put on Open Office.

Thanks. That's what I wanted to hear! Do you know Craig Scott? He's an orthodontist in Springfield, and a good friend of mine.
