I'm trying to set up a procedure button for just a single quad of D4341 or D4342 where you are prompted to select a quadrant instead of OD automatically inputting the default as "UR" for you.
We already have a procedure button set up with 4 of the same code on it so that OD automatically inputs 4 different quadrants. We encounter that patients don't always need four quads, so it's inefficient to delete the unneeded codes or to manually change the singular automatic "UR" entry to a different quad.
Is there a way to set it up so that OD prompts you for the quad, similar to how it would if you forget to select a tooth number for a tooth-related treatment area procedure?
I haven't seen anything on the forum about this specific thing, but I may be wrong. Thanks in advance!

Re: Single quadrant scaling & root planing procedure button
I'm afraid not.
If you create a procedure button with one D4341 code, Open Dental will chart the code with a default Tx area of UR. You can manually change the quadrant, but that is more time consuming than charting all four quads and removing the ones you don't need.
Feature request 1309: When Entering a perio code, prompt user to pick a quadrant is exactly the functionality you are requesting. I recommend you vote on it because at the moment, there are no votes listed.
