Customised Insurance Plans

Post by Tauqir » Mon Oct 20, 2008 4:29 am

I am not familiar with the insurance plans aspect of OD as i am in the UK. However i was wondering if it was possible to set up ones own plan within the existing OD setup?
We presently run a number of inhouse plans where for a monthly fee the patient receives certain treatments inlcuded and others at a discount to the standard fee. Is is possible to set this up and administer from within OD?

if anyone has done so please let me know.
Cheers

The monthly fee part could be a repeating charge. The discount could just be handled by changing the patient fee schedule. So there's no need to involve ins plans to make it work well.

I see that the feature is undocumented, so I just started a page in the manual for it:

It will be improved later, but that should get you started.

Cheers Jordan

This works really well.

I also operate a plan where for a monthly fee all treatment ( with a few exceptions) is included, upto an annual limit.
Any ideas about how to set this one up?

Sounds like 100% coverage with a specified annual max to me. If I'm understanding the plan correctly.
