Dental Senders Setup

Anyone else successful setting up DentalSenders lately to connect to a linux server? I have had it running for quite a while on an old version, but when I went to reinstall a computer today, it won't connect to my database and says I have to have to install it on a local machine (but gives you the mySQL logon to specify a remote server). Anyone help?

I am in the precess of doing the same but have not got my linux server up. Which instructions did you use for the linux server?

you mean outside of Dental Senders just to set up a linux server for your open dental database?

I setup a LAMP server with UBUNTU server and then install webmin to configuration. Then you have to configure SAMBA for your file sharing. I can send you my SAMBA config file if that would help you. It too me a while to figure it out, but it has been working like a charm for 3-4 years now.

call jerry at dental senders and tell him what you need and there engineer will do it for you. i had mine set up earlier this year... it works but i left dental senders for smile reminder
