aging report vs insurance claims outstanding

Post by enamelrod » Thu Dec 10, 2009 12:38 pm

Does anyone know how these reports work? And would it make any since for the aging report to be less than the insurance claims outstanding?

The aging report is used for collections purposes.

The insurance claims outstanding report is used for following up on insurance claims. The number you see there is only used to identify which claim, and frequently has nothing to do with what you expect to be paid from insurance or the patient. To make it more clear, we are going to remove the sum total that's at the bottom of that column.

So yes, it makes total sense that the numbers would not match.
